------The 2022 Union Budget of India
A large number of commonly used items, including headphones, earphones, loudspeakers, smart meters, solar cells and solar modules will become more expensive as basic custom duties (BDC) on imported parts, as proposed by Finance Minister of India Nirmala Sitharaman in the Union Budget for 2022-23.
For single and multiple loudspeakers, headphones and earphones, BCD has been hiked from 15% to 20%.

Updated: There is 10% surcharge of all hearable products CBU imported to India, including earphones, speakers up to 40W, that means the CBU tax is 22% from April 1st,2022.
